WHY PRESERVE MY DRESS?

Preserving your wedding dress helps it last for years and safeguards it from potential damage:

  1. Prevents Damage: Wedding gown preservation helps protect against stains, wear and tear, yellowing, creasing, oxidation, and mold or mildew.

  2. Easier Storage: Preserving your gown makes it simpler to store for future use or safekeeping.

  3. Protects from Environmental Factors: It shields the dress from harmful elements like sunlight, humidity, and other environmental conditions.

  4. Heirloom Potential: A preserved wedding dress can be passed down as a family heirloom for future generations.

Ideally, a wedding dress should be preserved within six weeks of the wedding, though it’s never too late to have it professionally cleaned and preserved. To prevent discoloration, store your preserved dress in a cool, dry, dark location inside an acid-free garment bag or box. Wedding gown preservation services typically range from $300 to over $1,000, depending on the boutique.
