KATIE FREED - OWNER OF FREEBIRD BRIDAL
Hi, I'm Katie, the owner of Freebird Bridal! My journey to opening this boutique wasn't a traditional one. After starting my career in healthcare, I realized something was missing—my true passion for fashion. From a young age, I was captivated by unique, bohemian-inspired designs, and as I grew, I envisioned a career that combined my love for creativity and style.
When my husband and I moved to Sioux City in 2018, I saw an opportunity to fill a gap in the market for a chic, intimate bridal boutique offering unconventional wedding dresses. In 2019, I took a leap of faith and opened Freebird Bridal, unsure of what the journey would hold. Years later, I still find joy in helping brides find their dream dresses, boosting their confidence, and watching them shine on their special day.
Along the way, I became a mom of three, learning how to balance the beautiful chaos of motherhood with running a business. It's taught me valuable lessons in patience, time management, and care, much like my business has. Both motherhood and entrepreneurship have shaped me into a more resilient, dedicated person.
While healthcare was rewarding, I craved a change—one that allowed me to connect with others and follow my creative instincts. That’s how Freebird Bridal was born, and it’s been an incredible journey ever since. At Freebird Bridal, I’m here to help you find a dress that makes you feel like the best version of yourself, and I’m honored to be a part of your wedding journey.
ANNA - Bridal Stylist / Seamstress / Marketing
I began sewing around the age of six. My mother was a quilter and I always wanted to follow in her footsteps. Growing up, I would sew and design my own custom clothing as a hobby. This hobby and passion continued through middle school and college and that gave me confidence to start working professionally as a seamstress. While in search of my own dream dress, I came across Freebird Bridal. I fell in love with the store and the amazing staff and have worked here since early 2024.
DENISE - Bridal Stylist
I’m currently a full-time teacher during the school year, but my passion for the bridal industry led me to work at a bridal shop, and it was an amazing experience! I loved helping brides find the perfect dress and being part of such an important moment in their lives. The joy of finding "the one" is something I’ll never forget. Now, I’m excited to continue my bridal consultant journey with Freebird Bridal, where I can help create memorable experiences for our brides!
CARODY - Bridal Stylist / Social Media
I found my love for bridal in early 2023 and I have been head over heels for it ever since! My goal as a bridal stylist is to help every bride that I can to realize how beautiful they are and help find them a dress that accentuates her existing beauty. I also found a love for helping create fun posts for social media when I arrived to Freebird. When I am not at Freebird Bridal I am most likely hanging out with my husband and our two dogs, reading fantasy novels, or listening to Taylor Swift. I cannot wait to help you find your dream gown!
MADISON - Bridal Stylist
After finding my own wedding dress and loving the experience, I knew that I wanted to help others feel the same way during their special moment. My goal is to help brides feel confident, radiant, and truly themselves. There’s nothing more rewarding than sharing the unforgettable moment when a bride finds her perfect dress. When I am not at work, I love spending time with my fiance and our two golden retrievers. Some of my favorite activities include being outdoors, reading, and going for walks. I am so excited to meet you and help you find the dress of your dreams!
CARSYN - Prom Stylist
Carsyn started out with Freebird Bridal in 2022 showing off some of our beautiful gowns on our social media. Since then, she has grown into an amazing prom consultant! As one of our younger team members she is able to really connect with our prom clients and find them the perfect dress. Not only does Carsyn love being able to try on all of our new dresses, but she loves seeing girls when they find the perfect prom dress!
ALTERATIONS
AMY - In House Seamstress
Amy says that she has been sewing as long as she can remember. This seamstress has been in the bridal world for over twenty years! Choosing to alter your wedding dress with Amy means you will have one of the best seamstresses in the area at your service and good company while she turns your visions into reality.

Amy is at Freebird Bridal on most Saturdays during business hours. Amy’s alteration services are APPOINTMENT ONLY and are made through a separate booking system that our staff uses.
